What is a Donor Advised Fund
A Donor Advised Fund (DAF) is a simple, flexible and effective way to give to charity. You open a charitable investment account under the umbrella of a large charitable organisation.
You make gifts into your account as and when you like. These are irrevocable and become the assets of the DAF provider, giving you immediate tax relief. You can then request where you would like the funds to be granted. Funds within a DAF can also be invested, growing your initial contribution and increase your impact over time.
It’s a flexible way to manage your philanthropic giving, with the added benefit of potential investment growth. The advantage of using a DAF rather than setting up your own charitable trust is a reduced administrative and legal burden.
With a DAF, you can:
- Make one-off donations or set up monthly donations to causes you care about.
- Name charities as beneficiaries of your fund in your estate planning.
- Simplify your charitable giving while maximising tax benefits.
Why Support NEA with Your DAF?
By supporting National Energy Action through your DAF, you can help provide life-changing support to people living in fuel poverty. Fuel poverty affects millions of people across the UK, leaving many struggling in cold, unsafe and unhealthy homes. We want to change that, but we can’t do it alone. With your support, you can help us create a brighter future where no one experiences fuel poverty.
Your generosity ensures that we can continue to help our clients live in warm, safe, and healthy homes.
How to Recommend a Gift to NEA
