Energy Suppliers

Supporting energy suppliers create measurable social impact and achieve regulatory goals

At National Energy Action, we have a strong track record of working with energy suppliers to support vulnerable households, improve energy efficiency, and tackle fuel poverty. We deliver tailored programmes, training, and community initiatives designed to create measurable social impact, strengthen partnerships, and help suppliers meet regulatory and corporate social responsibility (CSR) goals.

Warm Home Discount (WHD) Support

For over 14 years, NEA has been a trusted partner in the Warm Home Discount scheme, currently collaborating with seven suppliers to provide advice and support to those who need it most.

Through a holistic package including benefits advice, energy efficiency guidance, and crisis support, we maximise the impact of WHD support to help vulnerable households enjoy warmer, healthier homes across England and Wales.

Our multi-faceted approach ensures that we support both fuel-poor households and the professionals who work with them, in full compliance with WHD II regulations.

By working together, we are able to make a lasting difference to people living in fuel poverty.

Training for frontline staff

We provide tailored training programmes for energy suppliers, utilities, and partner organisations, helping staff and volunteers deliver effective energy advice and support to vulnerable households. Through dedicated training, frontline staff can upskill and grow in both knowledge and confidence to support people experiencing fuel poverty.

Supporting CSR and ESG Goals

We work closely with energy suppliers and their partners to design and deliver programmes that make a real difference to households in fuel poverty, while meeting your organisation’s strategic priorities and regulatory goals.

Whether you’re looking to strengthen your community engagement, demonstrate measurable social value, or deliver against ESG metrics, NEA can co-design and manage projects that deliver lasting impact for vulnerable customers.

This can include:

  • Supporting hardship funds and core services so we can provide financial assistance and practical support to households most in need for immediate relief during times of crisis.
  • Supporting the delivery of our Winter Warmth Support Packs [JI6] by funding essential items that help people stay warm, safe, and well during colder months.
  • Corporate volunteering [JI7] by helping us to compile our Winter Warmth Support Packs or supporting our community advice events
  • Providing funding to deliver regional variants of national programmes by adapting our flagship initiatives to address local priorities, such as support for refugees, young families, or new parents.
  • Fundraise for [JI8] us by nominating us as your Charity of the Year or engaging your team in our calendar of events.
