Join Us for the Nation’s Biggest Housewarming
National Energy Action hosts the Nation’s Biggest Housewarming every year to mark our Fuel Poverty Awareness Day.
Taking place the week of the 16 to 20 November 2026, you can hold your housewarming event any day of the week.
Whether you want to hold an event at home, in your office or at your school, there’s lots of different ways to get involved.
The event you choose is up to you, it could be a bake sale, a dress-down day, raffle, or wear your hoodie to school day! We’ll send you a resource pack with everything you need to get started, including posters, activity ideas and items to help you decorate your housewarming space.
Why is the Nation’s Biggest Housewarming important?
Energy bills have been sky-high for years now, with no sign of significant reductions in sight. Many households have built up debts to the energy companies which they are struggling to pay off. As next winter approaches, even more vulnerable people risk falling into fuel poverty. They will start to ration heating, going without warm showers or hot meals, just to keep their heads above water.
National Energy Action aims to be there to help people through the difficult winter months and lift as many as we can out of fuel poverty. But we can’t do it without your help.
By taking part in The Nation’s Biggest Housewarming, you will be raising funds to support people experiencing fuel poverty. Together we will raise a united voice to campaign for change.
