Write to Your MP
Policy change starts with people speaking up. By writing to your MP, you can help ensure that tackling fuel poverty is a political priority.
Encourage them to:
- Support policies that reduce energy bills for low-income households.
- Back investment in energy efficiency and advice services.
- Stand up for the most vulnerable people in their communities.
Add Gift Aid to Your Donation
Gift Aid makes your donation go further at no extra cost to you.
If you’re a UK taxpayer, we can claim an extra 25p for every £1 you donate.
All you need to do is tick the Gift Aid box when donating online or fill out a short declaration form.
Already donated but forgot to Gift Aid? Contact us on fundraising@nea.org.uk
Give Through Your Payroll
Payroll giving is a simple, tax-efficient way to donate directly from your salary.
You choose how much to give each month. The donation comes out before tax, so it costs you less to give more.
Your support helps us plan for the future and reach more people.
Ask your employer if they’re signed up to a payroll giving scheme, or get started through a provider like Charities Trust or CAF.
Share Your Story
Have you experienced fuel poverty or supported someone who has?
By sharing your story, you help us highlight the real impact of cold homes and rising energy bills. We will respect your confidentiality and use a pseudonym or anonymise details if you prefer.
Your voice will:
- Helps policymakers and funders understand the human cost of fuel poverty.
- Encourages others in similar situations to seek help.
- Strengthens our campaigns for lasting change.
Thank you for your support
However you choose to get involved, thank you. Your support helps us reach more people, raise awareness, and fight for a future where everyone can live in a warm, safe home.
