Our response to the Improving the energy performance of privately rented homes: consultation is based around three key themes: 

1. A tightened standard is essential to fuel poverty alleviation efforts
2. A new standard must be introduced alongside new tenant protections
3. PRS MEES must be enforceable to achieve any of its stated policy aims.
