Lived experience

In the UK there are millions of households in fuel poverty. This leaves people to make impossible choices – to go cold, go hungry, fall into debt, or even all three. These are real lives being ruined and part of our work is to highlight the devastating impact high energy bills and poor energy efficiency can have, especially amid the cost-of-living crisis. Here, people with lived experience of fuel poverty reveal what it is really like, frontline workers share their insight and we share polling of householders struggling to cope.
